OPERATION OF DIGITAL NEWS ROOM SERVING UNIVERSALLY-ACCESSIBLE INFORMATION FOCUSED ON MAJOR ISSUES FACING WEST VIRGINIANS, INCLUDING PUBLIC HEALTH THREATS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES, ENVIRONMENT ISSUES, AND GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY. IN 2023, THE ORGANIZATION PUBLISHED 156 STORIES COVERING VARIOUS CRITICAL ISSUES AFFECTING WEST VIRGINIA AND INCREASED ITS MEDIAN MONTHLY READERSHIP BY 35%. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ORGANIZED AND CONDUCTED A LISTENING TOUR, VISITING MULTIPLE COUNTIES IN WEST VIRGINIA'S EASTERN PANHANDLE TO BETTER ASSESS LOCAL NEEDS AND IMPROVE SERVICE TO THESE COMMUNITIES.
