CATWALK CAMPAIGN SPONSORSHIP AND PROMOTION OF CATWALK, A GLOBAL MASS PARTICIPATION WALK SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE IN NOVEMBER 2023 THAT WAS POSTPONED TO 10TH FEN 2024 WHEN THE CAMPAIGN TEAM SUCCEEDED IN SECURING THE WORLD'S FIRST EVERY INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE ARABIAN LEOPARD FROM THE UNITED NATIONS. THROUGHOUT 2023 THE PRE-CAMPAIGN WORK WAS UNDERTAKEN INCLUDING ONGOING OUTREACH TO OVER 50 PARTNERS IN MULTIPLE COUNTRIES. AWARENESS RAISING THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA AND EDUCATIONAL TOOLKITS AND WEBSITE WAS ONGOING THROUGHOUT 2023.


CATWALK TRAILS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INAUGURAL TRAIL IN ALULA'S SHARAAN NATURE RESERVE IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA ON 10TH FEB 2023. HOSTING THE EVENT WHEN THE TRAIL WAS OPENED AND CREATING THE SUPPORTING COLLATERAL INCLUDING BOOKLETS SHARED WITH TRAIL HIKERS AND FILM SERIES (SHARED ON YOUTUBE AND OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA AND WITH PARTNERS INCLUDING THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION IN SAUDI ARABIA WHERE IT WAS SEEN BY OVER 6 MILLION SCHOOL CHILDREN AND 500,000 TEACHERS), ABOUT THE ARABIAN LEOPARD AND ITS HABITAT.


ARABIAN LEOPARD DAY DRIVING THE LIAISON BETWEEN STAKEHOLDERS WHO TOOK THE CONCEPT TO THE UNITED NATIONS. CREATION OF SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS AND COLLATERAL TO BUILD MOMENTUM FOR THE SUBMISSION MADE TO THE UNITED NATIONS. IN SUMMER OF 2023 THE UNITED NATIONS RESPONDED TO THE SUBMISSIONS BY DECLARING AN ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ARABIAN LEOPARD, TO TAKE PLACE ON 10TH FEBRUARY STARTING IN 2024. THIS MOTION WAS UNPRECEDENTED IN THAT IT WAS THE FIRST TIME EVER THAT THE UNITED NATIONS RECOGNISED AN INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR A MAMMAL AND A SUBSPECIES.
