PX PROJECT PROVIDES DISCONNECTED YOUTH (DEFINED AS BEING OUT OF WORK AND OUT OF SCHOOL AGES 16-24) WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE IN A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY WHERE THEY WILL LEARN LIFE, SOCIAL AND EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS IN A CULINARY SETTING. THE TRAINING PROGRAMS COMBINE HANDS-ON FOOD SERVICE TRAINING WITH CLASSROOM CULINARY INSTRUCTION, INDIVIDUAL CASE MANAGEMENT, AND JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES.
