IN 2022, DESIGNED2CONNECT WAS ABLE TO DISTRIBUTE 50,000 IN GRANT MONEY TO BE USED AS SUBSIDIES FOR PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING. OUT OF THE 50,000, 30,000 WAS DIVIDED BETWEEN TWO COUNSELING CENTERS IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA, 15,000 WAS GIVEN TO A COUNSELING CENTER IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND 5,000 WAS GIVEN TO AN EATING DISORDER CLINIC IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA. DESIGNED2CONNECT ALSO HOSTED 2 SEMINARS BOTH WITH A MENTAL HEALTH FOCUS. COSTS FOR THE SEMINARS CONSISTED OF PAYING THE SPEAKERS AND PROVIDING MATERIALS AND REFRESHMENTS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS.
