NMNPC SEEKS TO UNITE NEW MEXICO'S NURSE PRACTITIONERS IN AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PROMOTING EXCELLENCE IN PRACTICE AND OPTIMAL PATIENT CARE. WE STRIVE TO BE INFORMED AND EFFECTIVE IN OUR EFFORTS TO PROTECT AND PROMOTE NURSE PRACTITIONERS' PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS AND TO PROVIDE STRONG PATIENT ADVOCACY.

OUR PRIMARY SERVICE IS PROVIDING ACCREDITED CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR NURSE PRACTITIONERS IN NEW MEXICO. DURING FY 2022, WE HAD A THREE-DAY CONFERENCE THAT ALLOWED FOR CONFERENCE ATTENDEES TO EARN UPTO 30.25 CONTACT HOURS. THIS CONFERENCE ALSO HAD PRE CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS THAT ALLOWED FOR CONFERENCE ATTENDEES TO GET HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN MANY SPECIALTY AREAS. IN NOV 2021 WE HELD A ONE DAY CONFERENCE THAT PROVIDED 8.5 HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION. DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC AND THE BUSY SCHEDULE OF NPS WE OFFERED BOTH OF THESE CONFERENCES LIVE IN PERSON, LIVE VIA ZOOM AND ALSO ON DEMAND FOR 3 MONTHS SO OUR MEMBERS HAD TIME TO WATCH ALL THE PRESENTATIONS. IN ADDITION, WE MAINTAINED OUR NEWSLETTER TO KEEP NPS IN NEW MEXICO ABREAST OF IMPORTANT PROFESSIONAL, POLICY, AND CLINICAL INFORMATION.
