IN 2023 AANP PROVIDED A HEALTH POLICY CONFERENCE, HYBRID NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND A HYBRID FALL CONFERENCE (VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON). THE HEALTH POLICY CONFERENCE HAD A TOTAL OF 318 REGISTRATIONS. THERE WERE 219 FINAL CONFERENCE CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION AWARDED FOR A TOTAL OF 3677.50 CONTACT HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION (CE) EARNED BY ATTENDEES. FOR THE HYBRID NATIONAL CONFERENCE, THE VIRTUAL PORTION WAS MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL-ONLY ATTENDEES. THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 6,164 COMBINED REGISTRANTS. TOTAL CE EARNED FOR THE CONFERENCE BY IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL ATTENDEES WAS 148,930.13 CE, AND 50,594.66 PHARMACOLOGY CREDIT. FOR THE HYBRID FALL CONFERENCE, THE VIRTUAL PORTION WAS MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL-ONLY ATTENDEES. AANP'S LEGISLATIVE TEAM REPRESENTS NURSE PRACTITIONERS (NPS) AND THEIR PATIENTS ON CRITICAL ISSUES RELATED TO LICENSURE, ACCESS TO CARE, PATIENT SAFETY, HEALTH CARE REFORM, REIMBURSEMENT, AND OTHER CONCERNS AT ALL POLICY LEVELS. IN ADDITION TO ADVOCATING ON ISSUES THAT IMPACT NPS AND THEIR PATIENTS, AANP REPRESENTS NPS ON NATIONAL COMMITTEES AND IN HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS.
THE MAJORITY OF AANP'S GRANTS ARE USED TO FUND RESEARCH AND EDUCATION. DURING 2023, AANP OFFERED MORE THAN 335 CONTINUING EDUCATION ACTIVITIES AND DEVELOPED AND DISTRIBUTED IMPORTANT HEALTH CARE RESOURCE TOOLS FOR BOTH PROVIDERS AND THEIR PATIENTS.
