FARM TO TABLE PROMOTES SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND ADVANCES COMMUNITY WELLNESS AND LIVELIHOODS IN ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF ACCESSIBLE, EQUITABLE, AND THRIVING FOOD SYSTEMS.

(1) DEVELOPED CONNECTIONS BETWEEN FARMERS, SCHOOLS, SENIOR CENTER CAFETERIAS AND AGENCIES. PROVIDED SUPPORT TO INTEGRATE NM FRUITS AND VEGETABLES INTO SCHOOL AND SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAMS, WHILE PROVIDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND OUTREACH TO PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS AND FARMERS AND SCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAMMING. PARTNERED IN THE FOOD, FARM AND HUNGER STATEWIDE INITIATIVE. (2) PROVIDED CAPACITY BUILDING AND INDIVIDUALIZED TECHINICAL ASSISTANCE TO FARMERS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND AGENCIES IN THE AREAS OF MARKETING, ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT FOCUSED ON COMMUNITY AND AGRICULTURE INITIATIVES.(3) BUILT THE PUBLIC'S UNDERSTANDING OF THE INTERRELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN FOOD, HUNGER, FARMING, HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BY HELPING COMMUNITIES ACHIEVE FOOD SECURITY AND FOOD ACCESS CONNECTIONS WHILE EMPOWERING DISENFRANCHISED VOICES AND ADVANCING INFORMED POLICY EDUCATION BY PARTICIPATING IN STATEWIDE COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVES.(4) CURRENTLY WORKED WITH GROUPS AND STATE TO EXPAND FUNDING FOR MULTI-GENERATION FOOD AND NUTRITION PROGRAMS TO PURCHASE NM GROWN PRODUCE EXPANDING MARKET OPPORTUNITIES FOR FARMERS.
