PRIOR TO FEEDING SANTA FE DISSOLVING ITS OPERATIONS AND DISTRIBUTING ALL ITS NET ASSETS TO REUNITY RESOURCES, A 501(C)(3) LOCATED IN SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO, THAT RUNDS A TWO ACRE URBAN FARM AND SOIL+COMPOST YARD AND PROMOTES A CLOSED LOOP, LOCALIZED FOOD SYSTEM FOR EQUITABLE FOOD ACCESS, FEEDING SANTA FE DISTRIBUTED, VIA A DRIVE-THRU FOOD PANTRY, OVER 47,000 BAGS OF GROCERIES ANNUALLY, INCLUDING PERISHABLE AND NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS. EACH BAG TYPICALLY CONTAINED ONE DOZEN EGGS, TWO LARGE POTATOES, A 1-LB. BAG OF EITHER DRIED PINTO BEANS, BROWN OR WHITE RICE OR PASTA, TWO CANNED VEGETABLES, A BREAD PRODUCT AND FRESH PRODUCE, EITHER DONATED OR PURCHASED AT WHOLESALE PRICES, INCLUDING: BROCCOLI, BEETS, LEAFY GREENS, SWISS CHARD, CARROTS, GREEN BEANS, TOMATOES, VARIOUS SQUASH, ONIONS, CUCUMBERS, APPLES, BANANAS,PEACHES, PEARS, ORANGES AND CLEMENTINES. A COLLABORATION WAS ESTABLISHED WITH THE NM COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE IN SANTA FE TO DEVELOP NUTRITIOUS RECIPES AND TO DEVELOP TIPS FOR SAFE HANDLING OF FOODS WE DISTRIBUTED.
