ISSHIN RYU CLUB INC.(IRC) IS A NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY BASED YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT ALSO SERVES ADULTS IN THE KIRKLAND ADDITION AND SURROUNDING AREA. ACTIVITIES ARE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED MINORITY YOUTH AND ADULTS HEALTH & EDUCATION WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. WITH THE HELP OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE, IRC WAS ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY FOR PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY TO BRING THEIR UNWANTED ITEMS TO BE THROWN AWAY TO HELP ENSURE THE NEIGHBORHOOD STAYS CLEAN. IRC CONTINUES TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH WOOD WORKING, THIS WAS A PROJECT DESIGNED FOR VETERANS, BUT ALSO COMMUNITY RESIDENTS TO CREATE A SSTAND OR SHELF THAT COULD BE GIVEN AWAY TO FRIENDS OR FAMILY. THROUGH THESE ACTIVITIES IT HAS BROUGHT PRIDE AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE PARTICIPANTS. IRC CONTINUES TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AWARENESS TO THE COMMUNITY. THIS IS A COMMUNITY FREE LIBRARY DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A PLACE FOR THE YOUTH TO COME AND GET A BOOK AND LEAVE A BOOK THAT THEY MIGHT WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO HAVE THE PLESURE OF READING. WITH THE HELP OF WORD OF MOUTH, THE INFORMATION REACHED ALL THE WAY TO THE LOCAL NEWS,CHANNEL 7 AND THE FIRST LADY OF ALBUQUERQUE CAME OUT TO SUPPORT THE REVEALING.
