EARLY CHILDHOOD SERVICES: LA VIDA FELICIDAD'S' EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM PROVIDES INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENTAL SUPPORT SERVICES TO FAMILIES OF CHILDREN, BIRTH TO THREE YEARS OLD, WHO HAVE A DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY OR WHO ARE AT RISK FOR A DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY DUE TO BIOLOGICAL, MEDICAL OR ENVIRONMENT RISK FACTORS. SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE DEVELOPMENTAL INSTRUCTION, PHYSICAL THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, AND SPEECH THERAPY. WE CONDUCT FULL DEVELOPMENTAL EVALUATIONS AND PROVIDE SERVICE COORDINATION. LA VIDA FELICIDAD PROVIDES EARLY INTERVENTION IN VALENCIA COUNTY AND CIBOLA COUNTY. EARLY INTERVENTION IS FUNDED BY MEDICAID, THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, UNITED WAY, FOUNDATION GRANT FUNDING, AND PRIVATE DONATIONS.LA VIDA FELICIDAD'S HOME VISITING PROGRAM PROVIDES SERVICES IN THE HOME AND COMMUNITY, TO EXPECTANT PARENTS/CAREGIVERS AND FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN BIRTH TO FIVE YEARS OF AGE. HOME VISITING IS A FREE PROGRAM THAT HELPS TO CONNECT FAMILIES TO RESOURCES AND PROVIDES SERVICES AND SUPPORTS TO PROMOTE THE FAMILY-CHILD RELATIONSHIP. LA VIDA FELICIDAD PROVIDES HOME VISITING IN VALENCIA COUNTY AND CIBOLA COUNTY. THIS PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE DEPARTMENT.LA VIDA FELICIDAD PROVIDES CHILD CARE SERVICES WHICH PROVIDES INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT CHILD CARE SERVICES TO FAMILIES OF CHILDREN, AGES INFANT TO FIVE YEARS. WE ARE A 4-STAR FOCUS PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR A CHILD TO PLAY AND LEARN IN A SMALL GROUP SETTING. THE CURRICULUM INCORPORATES DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES THAT EXPAND UPON EARLY LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND RESPECTS THE CHILD'S STRENGTHS AND NEEDS AS AN INDIVIDUAL. ELIGIBLE FAMILIES RECEIVE ASSISTANCES FROM THE CHILDREN YOUTH & FAMILIES DEPARTMENT. THE PROGRAM ALSO SERVES PRIVATE PAY FAMILIES. LA VIDA FELICIDAD PROVIDES THESE SERVICES IN VALENCIA COUNTY, NEW MEXICO.LA VIDA FELICIDAD PROVIDES EARLY LEARNING THROUGH AN EXTENDED-DAY EARLY PREK CLASSROOM. OUR CLASSROOM IS FOR CHILDREN THAT TURN 3 ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1ST AND OPERATES MONDAY-FRIDAY FROM 8:30 AM-2:30 PM. THE EARLY PREK PROGRAM IS COMMITTED TO CREATING AN ENRICHING ENVIRONMENT THAT PROMOTES A CHILD'S EXCITEMENT FOR LEARNING AND HELPS FOSTER SKILLS THAT ALLOW THEM TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL. WE USE THE CREATIVE CURRICULUM TO PROVIDE A FRAMEWORK FOR DEVELOPING OUR CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION AND FOLLOW THE NEW MEXICO PREK STANDARDS AND NEW MEXICO FOCUS GUIDELINES. LA VIDA FELICIDAD'S EARLY PREK RECEIVES FUNDING FROM THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE DEPARTMENT., NEW MEXICO PREK PROGRAM.LA VIDA FELICIDAD IS PART OF THE VALENCIA COUNTY EARLY CHILDHOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP (ECCP). ECCP IS A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT BETWEEN PROVIDERS, ADVOCATES, BUSINESSES, PARENTS, AND PROFESSIONALS DEDICATED TO GROWING AND IMPROVING SUPPORT AND SERVICES FOR VALENCIA COUNTY'S FAMILIES. THE ECCP HAS IDENTIFIED CRITICAL ACTION ITEMS THAT WILL POSITIVELY IMPACT CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND OUR COMMUNITY. INFORMATION GATHERED THROUGH THE PARENT DIALOGUE CIRCLES AND COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE MEETINGS SAFETY EMERGED AS A PRIORITY AREA FOR ACTION. ACTION ITEMS INCLUDE WORKING WITH LOCAL PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAMS TO DISCUSS SAFETY IN OUR PARKS AND COMMUNITY OPEN SPACES, IDENTIFYING WAYS IN WHICH FIRST RESPONDERS ARE BETTER EDUCATED ABOUT LOCAL RESOURCES AND SUPPORTS FOR FAMILIES, IMPLEMENTING CROSS TRAINING EFFORTS FOCUSED ON CHILD WELLBEING, EARLY IDENTIFICATION FOR NEEDS OF SERVICES AND REFERRAL FOR SERVICES. WE ALSO WORK TO INCREASE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES THAT EDUCATE FAMILIES ON SERVICES, PROMOTE POSITIVE AND HEALTHY COMMUNITY, AND CREATE A SAFETY NET OF SERVICES AND ACTIVELY BE INVOLVED IN CITY GOVERNMENT MEETINGS AND COMMUNITY INPUT COMMITTEES TO BETTER EDUCATE POLICY MAKERS OF THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.
