PROVIDE INSTRUCTION TO AT RISK STUDENTS FROM HISTORICALLY IGNORED COMMUNITIES IN THEATER AND VISUAL ARTS WHILE PROVIDING ACADEMIC SUPPORT TO HELP KEEP THEM IN SCHOOL AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO CONTINUE IN HIGHER EDUCATION.

ART PROJECTS: DURING 2023 WORKING CLASSROOM'S ARTS PROGRAM PROVIDED INSTRUCTION TO 97 STUDENT ARTISTS CREATED 4 PUBLIC MURALS AND HAD AN INSTALLATION FOR THE DAY OF THE DEAD AT WORKING CLASSROOM BLACK BOX THEATER ATTENDED BY OVER 200 PEOPLE. WORKING CLASSROOM PROVIDED EMPLOYMENT TO 6 TEACHING ARTISTS AND PROVIDED MURAL OPPORTUNITIES TO 4 LOCAL ARTISTS.


THEATER PROJECTS: DURING 2023 WORKING CLASSROOM'S THEATER ARTS PROGRAM PROVIDED THEATER WORKSHOPS TO 16 STUDENT ACTORS AND PRODUCED 2 WORKSHOP PERFORMANCES. WORKING CLASSROOM CONTRACTED WITH 2 TEACHING ARTISTS.


ACADEMIC PROJECTS: DURING 2023 WORKING CLASSROOM WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE ACADEMIC SUPPORT TO STUDENTS AS NO SUPPORT PROVIDED THROUGH GRANT FUNDERS FOR THE YEAR. ALL EXPENSES ARE RELATED TO FIXED PRORATED EXPENSES PER DEPARTMENT.
