THE DAV OPERATES A POV TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM TO ASSIST VETERANS TO AND FROM SCHEDULED MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS.


THE DAV PROVIDES CASH ASSISTANCE TO VETERANS IN NEED. THIS FISCAL YEAR WE PROVIDED 14 VETERAN/FAMILIES WITH DIRECT CASH ASSISTANCE FOR: LODGING/UTILITIES, TRAVEL/AUTO, AND ITEMS RELATED TO JOB SEARCH AND PREPARATION FOR EMPLOYMENT. DAV ALSO PROVIDED BATTERIES FOR WHEELCHAIRS, AND SUPPORT FOR WILDFIRE VICTIMS


PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED SERVICE OFFICERS EDUCATE VETERANS/FAMILIES ABOUT PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY AND ASSIST WITH FILING THEIR CLAIMS FOR BENEFITS.
