AMATEUR ATHLETICS CCNC FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE 2021 USGA JUNIOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. 264 JUNIOR AMATEUR PLAYERS AND OVER 300 VOLUNTEERS BENEFITED FROM THE FOUNDATIONS SUPPORT OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT. THE FOUNDATION ISSUED A GRANT TOTALING $118,825 TO COVER EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH PUTTING ON A JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP; SOME OF THE ITEMS COVERED INCLUDED: BEVERAGES (WATER, SPORTS DRINKS) ON THE GOLF COURSE TO KEEP THE PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS HYDRATED DURING THE JULY HEAT. BEVERAGES AND SNACKS IN THE PLAYERS LOCKER ROOM. EVACUATION CARTS FOR IN CLIMATE WEATHER CONDITIONS NEEDED TO CLEAR THE COURSE OF THE PLAYERS AND OFFICIALS. PORTABLE RESTROOMS TO HANDLE NEEDS OF THE PLAYERS, SPECTATORS AND VOLUNTEERS. COVID PROTOCOL SUPPLIES. VOLUNTEER CARTS. VOLUNTEER SUPPLIES. OTHER THE FOUNDATION'S AMATEUR ATHLETICS FUND ALSO SUPPORTED US KIDS GOLF FOUNDATION WITH A GRANT OF $2,500 FOR WATER FOR TOURNAMENT PLAYERS IN THE US KIDS GOLF EVENTS.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH HV3 FOUNDATION JUNIOR CLINIC IN SEPTEMBER 2021, CCNC FOUNDATION AND HV3 FOUNDATION PARTNERED TO HOST A GOLF CLINIC AND RECEPTION TO RAISE MONEY FOR BOTH FOUNDATIONS. CCNC FOUNDATION HANDLED ALL RECORDKEEPING AND CCNC FOUNDATION ISSUED A GRANT TO THE HV3 FOUNDATION FOR $ 11,022.75, THE HV3 FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO GIVE KIDS AFFORDABLE ACCESS TO SPORTS GIVING KIDS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED IN LIFE. THE CCNC FOUNDATION FUNDS WERE EARMARKED FOR EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE. BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF THE SANDHILLS THE CCNC FOUNDATION ISSUED A $6,000 GRANT TO THE SANDHILLS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE SUPPORT TO FURTHER THEIR MISSION OF INSPIRING, ENABLING AND EDUCATING YOUNG PEOPLE FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS AND CIRCUMSTANCES TO REALIZE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTIVE AND CARING CITIZENS. THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF THE SANDHILLS HAS 671 REGISTERED MEMBERS MEAL ON WHEELS OF THE SANDHILLS THE CCNC FOUNDATION PROVIDED FUNDING FOR THE FOOD FOR THIS PROGRAM FOR 4 WEDNESDAYS DURING THE YEAR. THE PROGRAM SERVES OVER 100 LUNCHTIME MEALS EACH WEEKDAY TO HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUALS. EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE THE CCNC FOUNDATION PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO A CCNC EMPLOYEE WHO HAD A SIGNIFICANT UNEXPECTED MEDICAL SITUATION. THE FUNDING ASSISTED WITH MEDICAL BILLS, HOUSING AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENT NEEDS.
