ARTE LIBRE IN THE TIME OF CORONA WAS OUR COVID RESPONSE PROGRAM AND
AS THIS WAS ARTE LIBRE'S FIRST YEAR IN OPERATION, AND LIKE MANY OTHERS WE WERE HIT BY THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, WE WERE ABLE TO FOCUS OUR RESOURCES ON ONE PRIMARY PROGRAM SERVICE: ARTE LIBRE IN THE TIME OF CORONA. THIS ONGOING PROGRAM HAS PROVIDED FREE ALVA ART KITS TO YOUTH IN NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY OVER THE COURSE OF 16 WEEKS DURING THE PANDEMIC. WE WERE ABLE TO CREATE AND DISTRIBUTE OVER 1200 FREE ALVA ART KITS TO OVER 150 YOUTH. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO CONTRACT INDEPENDENT ARTISTS TO CREATE ORIGINAL CONTENT, HELPING TO SUPPLEMENT A SMALL AMOUNT OF INCOME FOR THE CREATIVE WORKFORCE, WHO WERE SOME OF THE AMERICANS HARDEST HIT BY LOSS OF INCOME DURING THE PANDEMIC.
