WMFPA WAS SUCCESSFUL IN ASSISTING IN MULTIPLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS WITHIN THE WEST MICHIGAN REGION. THE FARM (FOOD, AGRICULTURE, RESEARCH, AND MANUFACTURING) ACCELERATOR BUILDING/FACILITY WAS SUCCESSFULLY BUILT AND PLANS WERE MADE TO BEING ACCELERATOR OPERATIONS IN 2021. EDUCATORS WERE BROUGHT TOGETHER TO NETWORK AND DEVELOP AND STRENGTHEN TRAINING DEVELOPMENT TO THE FOOD INDUSTRY. A STATEWIDE WEBINAR RELATED TO COVID SUPPORT TO THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY WAS CONDUCTED IN OCTOBER 2020. OVER 300 STAKEHOLDERS ARE ON THE WMFPA EMAIL LIST AND RECEIVED FREQUENT COMMUNICATIONS UPDATES TO SUPPORT THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY. A FACEBOOK SOCIAL MEDIA WAS ESTABLISHED TO COMMUNICATE NEEDS RELATED TO COVID SUPPORT AND OTHER PILLAR STRATEGIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
