THE HAWAII NURSES AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS (HNHP) IS A 501(C)(5) LABOR ORGANIZATION. THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ADVOCATE FOR HNHP MEMBERS AND PATIENTS THROUGHOUT HAWAII. IN ADDITION TO CREATE HIGH QUALITY AND SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENTS, PROVIDE ECONOMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT AND TO IMPROVE DELIVERY AND ACCESS TO SAFE, AFFORDABLE AND HIGH-QUALITY HEALTHCARE FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF HAWAII. HNHP WORKED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH KAISER FOUNDATION & KAISER HEALTH PLAN TO ENSURE THE CARE DELIVERY SYSTEM AT KAISER MET THOSE NEEDS FOR BOTH THE HNHP MEMBERS AS WELL AS THE PATIENTS THEY CARED FOR.
