THE HAWTHORN FOUNDATION CEMENTED THE FUTURE OF THE HAWTHORN SCHOOL BY SECURING THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES NECESSARY TO OPEN A FIRST HOME FOR THE SCHOOL. THE FOUNDATION ALSO INITIATED ITS SEARCH FOR SCHOOL FACULTY AND STAFF, AND BEGAN OUTREACH PROGRAMMING WITH LOCAL FAMILIES. THE FOUNDATION COMMISSIONED A DESIGN OF THE SCHOOL'S PERMANENT CAMPUS, AND BEGAN PROSPECTING AVAILABLE REAL ESTATE IN THE NYC METRO AREA.
