FRIENDS OF NCSH IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION ORGANIZED AND OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, SCIENTIFIC, EDUCATIONAL AND LITERARY PURPOSES WITHIN THE MEANING OF 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OR THE CORRESPONDING SECTION OF ANY FUTURE TAX CODE. FRIENDS OF NCSH IS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING THE FORMATION OF AND PROMOTING AND PROVIDING FINANCIAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT TO THE PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOLS IN NEW YORK CITY THAT WILL BE INCLUSION SCHOOLS FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS AND TYPICALLY DEVELOPING CHILDREN.

NCSH WAS CHARTERED BY THE NEW YORK STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT IN SEPTEMBER 2011 AND OPENED FOR STUDENTS IN AUGUST 2012.
