CANCER SUPPORT CHARITY. OPERATION OHANA PROVIDES YOUNG CANCER SURVIVORS WHO ARE PARENTS OF SMALL CHILDREN WITH A SAFE SPACE FOR INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILIAL HEALING, RECOVERY, AND RECONNECTION. WE DO THIS THROUGH FAMILY-FOCUSED RETREATS, SURVIVOR "MATCHMAKING," AND CONNECTING FAMILIES WITH NEEDED SUPPORT AND CHILDREN'S THERAPY RESOURCES. IN 2020, THE OHANA CARES PROGRAMS PROVIDED $14,500 OF SMALL GRANTS TO 29 FAMILIES, MONTHLY VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUPS WERE LAUNCHED FOR PATIENTS AND SURVIVORS, AND OVER 400 AGE-APPROPRIATE BOOKS ON ILLNESS, HEALTH, AND BEREAVEMENT WERE SENT TO FAMILIES NAVIGATING A CANCER DIAGNOSIS.
