THE CLUB WAS ORGANIZED IN 2001 BY LOCAL PARENTS TO SUPPLEMENT THE GARDINER SCHOOL DISTRICT IN RAISING FUNDS TO SUPPORT SPORTS, ART, MUSIC AND OTHER EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. GARDINER IS A SMALL ISOLATED RURAL COMMUNITY AT THE NORTHEAST ENTRANCE TO YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, AND MANY STUDENTS ARE DEPENDENTS OF PARK EMPLOYEES. FEDERAL FUNDING FOR THESE CHILDREN CEASED SUDDENLY IN 2014, AND FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE BORDERING STATES OF WYOMING AND MONTANA WERE INSUFFICENT TO ADDRESS THEIR NEEDS.

IN 2020, THE CLUB RECEIVED APPROXIMATELY 24,000 IN GRANTS. FUNDS WERE EXPENDED ON SPONSORED EVENTS FOR THE SCHOOL, INCLUDING PURCHASING A NEW AUDIO SYSTEM FOR THE GYM, PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS, PURCHASED THE JUNIOR HIGH TEAMS NEW UNIFORMS, AND SPONSORED SEASONAL SPORTS BANQUETS.
