MORGANTOWN COMMUNITY RESOURCES MCR IS A NON-PROFIT, TAX EXEMPT CORPORATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS 1) TO DEVELOP, OWN, AND OPERATE A MODERN, CENTRALIZED FACILITY IN MORGANTOWN TO HOUSE SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES THAT SERVE THE MOST VULNERABLE POPULATIONS IN MORGANTOWN, MONONGALIA COUNTY, AND ADJOINING COUNTRIES WITH EMPHASIS INITIALLY ON SHELTER FOR THE HOMELESS, FEEDING PROGRAMS, AND A SOBRIETY CENTER AND 2) TO GROW TO INCLUDE ADDICTION SUPPORT GROUPS, CHARACTER BUILDING PROGRAMS, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, AND PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT DIRECTLY ADDRESS AND ASSIST INDIVIDUALS SUFFERING FROM HOMELESSNESS AND/OR SUBSTANCE ABUSE DISORDER.
