THE ONLINE SOLO STRINGS INTENSIVE (OSSI) IS A TWO-WEEK-LONG PROGRAM FOR CLASSICAL MUSIC STUDENTS APPROXIMATELY 15-28 YEARS OLD. STUDENTS WILL TAKE PART IN DAILY WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS AS WELL AS RECEIVE PRIVATE LESSONS, WATCH OR PARTICIPATE IN MASTERCLASSES, AND PLAY IN STUDIO CLASSES. THE INTENSIVE'S GOALS ARE NOT ONLY TO EXPAND THE MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE AND PROWESS OF EACH PARTICIPANT, BUT TO DEEPEN THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF CLASSICAL MUSIC THROUGH SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS AND TO CONNECT SERIOUS MUSICIANS ACROSS THE GLOBE TO EACH OTHER BY FACILITATING A ROBUST ENVIRONMENT FOR DEVELOPING CLASSICAL MUSICIANS. OSSI IS CONDUCTED ONLINE, BRIDGING THE GAP FOR LOW-INCOME STUDENTS AND SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCING COSTS FOR MUSICIANS TO BE ABLE TO STUDY INTENSELY WITH THE BEST PROFESSORS IN THE UNITED STATES. THE CURRICULUM FOCUSES ON THE TECHNICAL ABILITY REQUIRED FOR MUSICIANS, AND THE OTHER SKILLS NEEDED TO CREATE A SUCCESSFUL CAREER, SUCH AS HEALTH & WELLNESS, CHAMBER MUSIC, TIME MANAGEMENT, AND MORE.
