TO PROMOTE INTERNATIONAL INTERDISCIPLINARY SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMS IN SOLAR-TERRESTRIAL PHYSICS, AND TO ORGANIZE AND COORDINATE SUCH PROGRAMS.2. TO SUPPORT THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED SCIENTIFIC PERSONNEL (GRADUATE STUDENTS AND EARLY CAREER SCIENTISTS) BY ORGANIZING SUMMER SCHOOLS, SCIENTIFIC WORK SHOPS AND CONFERENCES, AND BY FACILITATING THEIR PARTICIPATION IN SUCH MEETINGS.3. THROUGH ITS CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM TO SUPPORT, DEVELOP AND PROMOTE HIGHER EDUCATION AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN SOLAR-TERRESTRIAL PHYSICS IN DEVELOPING THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES.
