THE KRISTIN CHENOWETH BROADWAY BOOT CAMP IS HELD EVERY SUMMER AT KRISTIN'S NAME SAKE THEATER AT THE BROKEN ARROW PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. THE CAMP BEGINS WITH THE STUDENTS WATCHING THE TONY AWARDS TOGETHER AND ENDS A WEEK LATER WITH THE KRISTI AWARDS RECOGNIZING STUDENTS FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING GROWTH. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CAMP IS TO FACILITATE A DREAM, DEVELOP CREATIVITY, INSTILL CONFIDENCE, PROVIDE EXPERIENCES, HONE TALENTS, TEACH THE VALUE OF HARD WORK/GROW AMBITION, LIFT OTHERS UP AND DEAL WITH NEGATIVES AND FAILURE. THE STAFF FOR THE CAMP ARE WORKING BROADWAY DIRECTORS, ACTORS, SINGERS, MUSICIANS, DANCERS, BACKSTAGE TECHNICAL PROFESSIONALS AND COACHES PROVIDING THE STUDENTS WITH TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE SIMILAR TO THE ACTUAL BROADWAY PROFESSION ALL FINANCED VIA SMALL AFFORDABLE FEES, SCHOLARSHIPS, DONATIONS AND THE KRISTIN CHENOWETH ARTS AND EDUCATION FUND.
THE BROKEN ARROW ARTS CENTER FOR CREATIVITY - BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMAPARTNERING WITH 2 BROKEN ARROW PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND THE KRISTIN CHENOWETH ARTS AND EDUCATION FUND WHICH WILL PROVIDE A 5 DAY A WEEK AFTER SCHOOL INTERACTIVE ARTS PROGRAM FOR UNDERSERVED 4TH AND 5TH GRADE STUDENTS FROM RHODES AND OAK CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS. THE PROJECT IS FUNDED WITH BOND ISSUE AND DONATIONS FROM CHARITIES LIKE THE KRISTIN CHENOWETH ARTS AND EDUCATION FUND.
IN THE WINGS MASTER CLASSES PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR TALENTED YOUNG STUDENTS TO LEARN TECHNIQUES AND PERFORMANCE SKILLS FROM TONY & EMMY AWARD WINNING ACTOR AND SINGER KRISTIN CHENOWETH. KRISTIN WILL WORK WITH STUDENTS, ACROSS THE COUNTRY, OFFERING SESSIONS IN SONG PERFORMANCE/COACHING, MONOLOGUES, MUSICAL THEATER FOR THE SCREEN, ACTING FOR TV/FILM, AUDITION CUTS AS WELL AS Q&A'S (WHICH CAN COVER SUBJECTS SUCH AS THE SOLO-ALBUM MAKING PROCESS, DEVELOPING NEW WORK, VOICE OVER, PRODUCING, ETC.) AS OUR INDUSTRY COMES BACK AND REOPENS, SO WILL KRISTIN'S CELEBRATED AND ACCLAIMED TOUR. THIS YEAR, KRISTIN WILL BE PROVIDING COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES NEARBY THE TOURING VENUES THE CHANCE TO HOST ONE OF THESE IN THE WINGS MASTER CLASSES.
