FWLE IS A NONPROFIT CORPORATION ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES, WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1986, FOR THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE OF ADVANCING THE PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OF WOMEN OF ALL BACKGROUNDS, INCLUDING WOMEN OF COLOR, TO ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL AS LEADERS OF OUR WORKPLACES, COMMUNITIES, AND SOCIETY IN EQUAL PARTNERSHIP WITH MEN. THE CORPORATION'S INITIATIVES, PROGRAMS AND EVENTS ARE PRIMARILY AIMED AT THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF WOMEN AND GIRLS, BUT ARE OPEN AND INCLUSIVE OF MEN AS WELL, AND STRIVE TO IMPART LEADERSHIP LESSONS TO PERSONS OF ALL WALKS OF LIFE. CONFERENCE: THE FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP & EMPOWERMENT ("FWLE") ASSUMED THE ROLE OF OWNER AND PRODUCER OF THE PRE-EXISTING ANNUAL WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE ("WLC") PURSUANT TO A CHARITABLE DONATION FROM THE MGM RESORTS FOUNDATION EFFECTIVE AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2019. THE AUGUST 2019 WLC WAS THE LAST CONFERENCE PRODUCED BY THE MGM RESORTS FOUNDATION. HENCEFORTH, IT IS CONTEMPLATED THAT FWLE WILL PRODUCE AND PRESENT WLC AS ITS ANCHOR PROGRAM. AFTER CANCELLATION OF THE ANNUAL WLC IN 2020 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE WLC RETURNED IN 2021 WITH A ONE-DAY LIVE FORMAT, AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, A CONTEMPORANEOUS VIRTUAL PROGRAM, DUE TO THE PANDEMIC'S CONTINUING IMPACT. 2021 WLC ATTRACTED A TOTAL OF 765 LIVE (586) AND VIRTUAL (179) REGISTRANTS - BELOW PRE-PANDEMIC LEVELS FOR LIVE ATTENDEES DUE TO COVID-19 HESITANCY. THE 2022 WLC IS PLANNED AS A TWO-DAY LIVE CONFERENCE WITH A VIRTUAL PROGRAM COMPONENT. TRADITIONALLY WLC HAS BEEN A TWO-DAY, IN-PERSON CONFERENCE EXPERIENCE COMPRISED OF THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS: -MAINSTAGE PRESENTATIONS BY KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, PRIMARILY WOMEN, WHO ARE ACCLAIMED CROSS-INDUSTRY ROLE MODELS FROM ALL LEVELS OF LEADERSHIP -MULTI-FACETED GROUP WORKSHOPS LED BY SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS WHO TEACH LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS AND EXPLORE REAL-LIFE ISSUES AND SITUATIONS -INDIVIDUAL CAREER GUIDANCE SESSIONS WITH PROFESSIONAL COACHES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -PEER DISCUSSION WITH HIGH-ACHIEVING COLLEAGUES FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS AND WORKPLACES -PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING THE MAINSTAGE KEYNOTE ADDRESSES AND WORKSHOP SUBJECTS SPOTLIGHT OR EXAMINE DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES, SUCH AS SELF-CONFIDENCE; MAINTAINING PERSONAL WELLNESS AS THE FOUNDATION OF LEADERSHIP; EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATION; EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE; CAREER PLANNING; TEAM BUILDING; LEADING VIRTUAL TEAMS; ETC. ASPIRING WOMEN: ASPIRING WOMEN PRESENTED BY FWLE WEBINAR SERIES: FWLE'S "ASPIRING WOMEN" WEBINAR SERIES IS THE FOUNDATION'S ANCHOR VIRTUAL PROGRAM, FOUNDED ON THE TWO-FOLD PREMISE THAT TODAY'S LEADERS HAVE A THIRST FOR CONTINUOUS LEARNING - BEYOND OUR TWO-DAY WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE ("WLC"), AND A BROAD AUDIENCE CAN BE REACHED THROUGH A VIRTUAL PLATFORM. ASPIRING WOMEN GARNERED APPROXIMATELY 1,300 REGISTRANTS ACROSS ITS SEVEN SESSIONS, DEMONSTRATING THE DESIRE OF LEADERS FOR CONTINUOUS LEARNING. LIKE WLC, ASPIRING WOMEN FEATURES BOTH INSPIRATIONAL AND SKILLS-BASED TOPICS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO ADDRESS PRACTICAL CHALLENGES THAT 21ST CENTURY LEADERS - WOMEN, WOMEN OF COLOR AND SOME MEN - CONFRONT, AND THAT GO UNADDRESSED IN THEIR WORKPLACES. THE SERIES DEBUTED IN FALL 2020 WITH SESSIONS ON "CULTIVATING UNCONDITIONAL SELF-WORTH," "COPING WITH SYSTEMIC DISCRIMINATION/RACISM- AND "HOW TO BECOME A FIERCE SELF-ADVOCATE." THE WEBINAR CONTINUED INTO SPRING 2021 WITH SESSIONS ON "EXECUTIVE PRESENCE IN THE VIRTUAL AGE," "LEADING DISPERSED TEAMS IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD,- AND "NAVIGATING CHANGE IN THE 21ST CENTURY GLOBAL ECONOMY,- AND CONCLUDED IN APRIL 2021 WITH "WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS ON THE MOVE - STILL" DESPITE THE PANDEMIC.
