THESE BANDS (BOTH COMBOS AND BIG BANDS) PARTICIPATE ANNUALLY IN THE MILE HIGH AND GREELEY JAZZ FESTIVALS AS WELL AND OUR ANNUAL EVENING OF JAZZ FUNDRAISING BENEFITS. ALL THREE LEVELS OF JAZZ BANDS AT FAIRVIEW HIGH SCHOOL JAZZ BAND RECEIVED SUPERIOR RATINGS IN REGIONAL JAZZ FESTIVALS. CONCERT BAND: THE TWO LEVELS OF CONCERT BANDS THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE CBA REGIONAL COMPETITION IN MARCH 2023 RECEIVED HIGH MARKS. SYMPHONIC BAND RECEIVED AN EXCELLENT WITH A SPECIAL COMMENDATION RATING AND OUR SENIOR LEVEL WIND ENSEMBLE BAND RECEIVED A SUPERIOR RATING. THESE BANDS PERFORMED SEVERAL LIVE CONCERTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY. FAIRVIEW MARCHING KNIGHTS: THE MARCHING PROGRAM CONTINUES TO STRUGLE TO REBOUND TO THE NUMBER OF MARCHERS PRIOR TO COVID. THE MARCHING BAND BATTLED THROUGH TWO DAYS OF COMPETITION - HAVING TO QUALIFY FOR A PLAE IN THE FINALS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN RECENT HISTORY. THE GROUP PULLED TOGETHER AND GARNERED AN 8TH PLACE FINISH IN A YEAR WHICH IT WAS UNCERTAIN THEY WOULD QUALIFY. THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR CONTINUES TO PRESENT CHALLENGES DUE TO A DECREASE IN ENROLLMENT AND ECONOMIC ISSUES. FBBO WILL CONTINUE TO FUNDRAISE AND ENGAGE OUR COMMUNITY AND ALUMNI FOR SUPPORT. WE ARE HERE TO MAKE SURE EVERY STUDENT THAT WANTS TO BE A PART OF THE FAIRVIEW BAND PROGRAM HAS THE OPPORTUNITY AND INSTRUMENTS TO PLAY ON
