THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDRAISING FOR AND COLLABORATES WITH LINCOLN HILLS CARES IN CONDUCTING YOUTH OUTDOOR PROGRAMS. THE FOUNDATION ENGAGES IN GRANTMAKING TO PARTNER CHARITIES AND THIRD PARTIES THAT PROVIDE SERVICES FOR LINCOLN HILLS CARES PROGRAMMING.

SINCE 2015, THE COLLABORATION HAS BEEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEVERAGE LINCOLN HILLS CARES (LHC) PHYSICAL RESOURCES AND OUTDOOR CURRICULUM TO LAUNCH A FORMAL OUTDOOR EDUCATION PROGRAM WITH BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF COLORADO AND OTHER LOCAL AND REGIONAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. THROUGH ADDITIONAL INVESTMENT AND PARTNERSHIPS WITH LHC, DENVERS UNDERSERVED YOUTH HAVE EXPERIENCED THE WONDERS OF COLORADOS NATURAL RESOURCES, INCREASED THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF COLORADOS HISTORY, BLENDED FUN OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES WITH EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES, AND BEEN EXPOSED TO OUTDOOR AND STEM RELATEDCAREERS THAT THEY MIGHT NOT HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN CONSIDERED.


THE FOUNDATION CONDUCTS FUNDRAISING THROUGH SOLICITATION OF PUBLIC SUPPORT AND APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDING TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE PROGRAMS OF LINCOLN HILLS CARES. THE FOUNDATION CREATES PATHWAYS THAT LEAD TO OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES WHICH PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS. THE FUNDING INCREASES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION. THE FOUNDATIONS FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF LINCOLN HILLS CARES (LHC) WILL CONTINUE TO ENABLE ITS ABILITY TO DEVELOP THE NEXT GENERATION OF YOUNG LEADERS THROUGH EDUCATION AND RECREATION, CULTURAL HISTORY EXPLORATION, AND STEM FIELD CAREER EXPOSURE, AND EVENTUAL WORKFORCE ADVANCEMENT.


THIS YEAR, THE LINCOLN HILLS CARES PATHWAYS PROGRAM DIRECTLY PROVIDED EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT, AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR 53 YOUTH. THESE YOUNG INDIVIDUALS ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN A WATERSHED RESTORATION PROGRAM WITH THE COTTONWOOD INSTITUTE, GAINING HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE THROUGH CAMPING, WORKING, AND LEARNING ABOUT OUR HEADWATERS STATE. OPERATING WELL OVER 150 PROJECTS INVOLVING YOUTH EMPLOYEES AND PARTNERS, THE LINCOLN HILLS CARES PATHWAYS PROGRAM SHOWCASED A DIVERSE RANGE OF IMPACTFUL INITIATIVES. THE PATHWAYS WORK EXPERIENCE REMAINED ENHANCED THROUGH COLLABORATIONS WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS, ACTIVELY ENGAGING WITH OVER 50 PARTNERS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. REMARKABLE PARTNERSHIPS INVOLVED INITIATIVES WITH MO BETTA GREEN MARKETPLACE AND COMMUNITY COLLABORATORS IN NORTHEAST DENVER, ALONG WITH COLLABORATIONS WITH CULTURE AND D3 ARTS AND OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS IN SOUTHWEST DENVER.
