EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - CODE 3 ASSOCIATES PROVIDES A NUMBER OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, AS DETAILED BELOW: EQUINE INVESTIGATIONS ACADEMY LEVELS I & II - THE EQUINE INVESTIGATIONS ACADEMY IS A 48 HOUR CERTIFIED COURSE DESIGNED FOR ANIMAL WELFARE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AS WELL AS OTHER ANIMAL RELATED PERSONNEL. THIS ACADEMY IS CERTIFIED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY. THIS COURSE TEACHES THE PARTICIPANT TO RECOGNIZE AND COMBAT ANIMAL ABUSE AS IT APPLIES TO HORSES. THE CLASS IS 50% CLASSROOM LECTURES AND 50% HANDS ON ACTIVITIES WITH HORSES, ALLOWING STUDENTS TO ACTUALLY PRACTICE THE SKILLS LEARNED IN THE CLASSROOM. UPON COMPLETION OF THE COURSE, THE PARTICIPANT CAN DEMONSTRATE LEVEL OF COMPETENCY BOTH PHYSICALLY WITH THE ANIMAL AS WELL AS WITH INVESTIGATIVE SKILLS. THEY ARE ABLE TO RESPOND TO ABUSE CALLS, THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATE AND DEVELOP THE CASE, AND PUT IT TOGETHER FOR SUCCESFUL PROSECUTION. DISASTER SERVICES - PREPAREDNESS TRAINING AND RELIEF SERVICES - DISASTER PREPAREDNESS TRAINING COMES IN MANY FORMS AND IS NORMALLY TAILORED TO THE GROUP REQUESTING THE TRAINING. SESSIONS RANGE FROM TWO HOURS TO FIVE DAYS DEPENDING ON THE NEEDS OF THE PARTICIPANTS. THE INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL HELP THE PARTICIPANT MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY PREPARE THEMSELVES,THEIR FAMILIES, THEIR FRIENDS, AND THEIR CO- WORKERS FOR ANY POSSIBLE DISASTERS THAT MAY HAPPEN. THESE CLASSES CREATE AN AWARENESS OF POTENTIAL SITUATIONS, RELATED DANGERS, AND WAYS TO PREPARE FOR THOSE SITUATIONS. STUDENTS ARE TAUGHT TO PREPARE PERSONAL DISASTER PLANS FOR THEIR HOMES AND FAMILIES AS WELL AS FOR THEIR ANIMALS. DISASTER RELIEF SERVICES INCLUDE ALL ON-SITE DISASTER RESPONSES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.
