FUNDING OF DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN EL SALVADOR DIRECTLY AFFECTING OVER 3000 PEOPLE IN 50 COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT EL SALVADOR. PROJECTS INCLUDE: KAREN ADAMS MICROLENDING FUND--WORKING WITH WOMEN'S COMMITTEES IN 32 COMMUNITIES IN CUSCATLAN WITH START UP FUNDS OF UP TO $2500 PER COMMUNITY FOR MICROCREDIT LOANS, AND ONGOING TRAINING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT; SCHOLARSHIP PROJECT-SUPPORTING APPROXIMATELY 150 MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS IN CHALATENANGO, SANTA ANA, LA LIBERTAD, CUSCATLAN & SAN SALVADOR WITH PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO HELP WITH BASIC EDUCATION COSTS; COMMUNITY RADIO PROJECT PROVIDING LOGISTICS SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY REPORTERS TO REPORT ON ISSUES OF LOCAL CONCERN IN RURAL CABANAS; PAPATURRO DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FUNDING A COMMUNITY CLINIC AND AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER.
