PERSIMMON EARLY LEARNING PROVIDES BOTH DROP IN AND LONG-TERM CARE FOR CHILDREN FROM 8 WEEKS TO 6 YEARS OF AGE. THIS PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE TO FAMILIES IN TRANSITION AND LOW- INCOME FAMILIES ON A SLIDING FEE SCALE, AS WELL AS AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE FOR BOULDER COUNTY FAMILIES THAT MAY NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE BUT STILL STRUGGLE WITH THE HIGH COST OF CHILDCARE.
EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSIVITY - THE EDI PROGRAM IS COMPRISED OF THE LATINA ACHIEVEMENT SUPPORT PROGRAM WHICH OPERATES WITHIN PARTICIPATING BOULDER COUNTY HIGH SCHOOLS TO SUPPORT LATINA GIRLS TO GRADUATE AND PURSUE SECONDARY EDUCATION. IT ALSO INCLUDES THE READING TO END RACISM PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES ENGAGING AND AGE-APPROPRIATE FORUMS IN WHICH TO EXPLAIN AND EXPLORE INSTITUTIONAL RACISM WITH STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH ONLINE CLASSES AND INTERACTIVE PRESENTATIONS LED BY VOLUNTEER READERS.
