Part 3 - Line 4a
CENTER FOR SAFETY AND EMPOWERMENT PROVIDES EMERGENCY SHELTER, COUNSELING, ADVOCACY, AND ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING. THE CSE ALSO WORKS TO PREVENT ABUSE BY OFFERING CLASSES FOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, TRAINING PROFESSIONALS, AND ORGANIZING AWARENESS-RAISING PUBLIC EVENTS.
CHILD AND YOUTH PROGRAMS INCLUDE SERVING FAMILIES AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLES. THE SERVING FAMILIES PROGRAM PROVIDES CARE AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN AFTER SCHOOL AT NINE LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND AT THE YWCA'S MAIN BUILDING ON DAYS WHEN SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION. AN EARLY LEARNING CENTER SERVES CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF ONE AND SIX.
OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, PUBLIC POLICY, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND THE SALE OF THE MENNINGER BIBLE CLASS CURRICULUM, OWNED BY THE YWCA.
