THE FRIENDSHIP CAMPUS IS IN DEVELOPMENT TO SERVE STUDENTS WHO ARE INTELLECTUALLY AND PHYSICALLY DIVERSE AND WILL INCLUDE VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS, A TRANSITION PROGRAM AND ACT AS THE HEADQUARTERS FOR FRIENDSHIP FOUNDATION'S 50+ PROGRAMS AND INCLUSIVE SCHOOL CLUB PROGRAMMING IN WHICH EVERYONE HAS A PLACE. THE FRIENDSHIP CAMPUS WILL INCLUDE A 64,000 SQUARE FOOT FACILITY TO DEVELOP AN ENGAGING AND INVITING ENVIRONMENT FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY. IT WILL FOCUS ON SERVING THE WHOLE INDIVIDUAL WITH TALENT AND SKILL BUILDING; PERSONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS; SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLNESS; HEALTHY LIFESTYLE HABITS AND PHYSICAL FITNESS; JOB TRAINING AND EXPLORATION PROGRAMS. TECHNOLOGY, FINANCIAL LITERACY, MEDIA, HOSPITALITY, CULINARY, OFFICE, EDUCATION, AND TRADES, ARE SOME OF THE INITIAL VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS PLANNED.THE FOUNDATION OVERSAW THE CONCEPTUALIZING AND ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING AS WELL AS RAISED FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN. INITIAL ARCHITECTURAL PLANS WERE SUBMITTED TO THE CA STATE DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE WITH AN ANTICIPATED CONSTRUCTION START DATE IN 2022. CURRICULUM RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IS UNDERWAY AND INNOVATIVE VOCATIONAL PARTNERS AND TRAINING SYSTEMS ARE BEING EXPLORED. THE CAMPUS WILL OPEN IN LATE 2024 WITH MANY PROGRAMS BEGINNING PRIOR TO OPENING UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE FRIENDSHIP FOUNDATION.
