HOLOCAUST LEGACY FELLOWS IS A YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM DESIGNED TO EDUCATE JEWISH TEENS ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST AS A WATERSHED EVENT IN JEWISH HISTORY AND IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY. THE INTENT OF THE FELLOWSHIP IS TO BROADEN THEIR WORLD VIEWS AND EMPOWERING THEM TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE COMMUNITY AND WORLD. HOLOCAUST LEGACY FELLOWS OFFERS AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE FOR A DEDICATED COHORT WHO WILL PLEDGE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO ACTIVELY PRESERVE AND PERPETUATE THE MEMORY AND LESSONS OF THE HOLOCAUST FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.THE HOLOCAUST LEGACY FOUNDATION IS IN THE PROCESS OF PURCHASING A BUILDING THAT WILL EVENTUALLY HOUSE A MUSEUM, TRAINING, AND MEETING FACILITIES. THE MUSEUM WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND PROVIDE EDUCATION AND FACILITIES THAT THE ORGANIZATION WILL UTILIZE TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST AND THE LESSONS THAT CAN BE LEARNED FROM THE EVENTS OF THE PAST.IN ADDITION TO THE CONTRIBUTIONS, THE ORGANIZATION INTENDS TO COLLECT ADMISSION FEES AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL TRAINING TO THE COMMUNITY AND SCHOOLS AS WELL AS OFFER VIRTUAL TOURS OF THE MUSEUM. THE PURCHASE OF THE BUILDING IS PLANNED FOR 2021 WITH RENOVATIONS AND BUILDOUT TO OCCUR IN 2022 WITH PROJECTED OPENING OF THE MUSEUM IN 2023.
