THE PURPOSE OF THE G20 INTERFAITH FORUM ASSOCIATION IS TO INCREASE THE VITAL ROLES THAT FAITH AND RELIGION PLAY IN PROMOTING PEACEFUL AND HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN AND BETWEEN NATIONS BY COLLABORATING WITH RELIGIOUS THOUGHT LEADERS AND POLICY MAKERS TO DISCUSS GLOBAL PROBLEMS AND THEIR SOLUTIONS.

THE G20 INTERFAITH FORUM HAS ORGANIZED A SERIES OF CONFERENCES AND WEBINARS FOCUSING ON G20 THEMES, PARTICULARLY ENCOURAGING PROGRESS TOWARD UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS. CONFERENCES HAVE BEEN HELD IN A VARIETY OF COUNTRIES LEADING UP TO THE FALL FORUM IN INDIA, THE HOST COUNTRY FOR THE G20 SUMMIT IN 2023. ADDITIONALLY, SEVERAL MEETINGS AND EVENTS WERE CONVENED IN BRAZIL AND OTHER COUNTRIES IN PREPARATION FOR THE 2024 BRAZIL G20 SUMMIT. EVENTS HAVE FOCUSED IN PARTICULAR ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND ENERGY TRANSITION, REFUGEES, CHILD DIGNITY, THE FOOD CRISIS, TRAFFICKING, ANTI- RACISM INITIATIVES, PROTECTING CULTURAL HERITAGE, CONFLICT RESOLUTION, EDUCATION, COVID RECOVERY AND MORE GENERAL HEALTH CARE REFORMS, SOCIAL PROTECTION AND HUMANITARIAN REFORMS, AND THE ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS NECESSARY TO ASSURE THAT NONE OF THE VULNERABLE ARE LEFT BEHIND.
