THE PURPOSE OF SOULS GROWN DEEP COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP INC (SGDCP) IS TO PROMOTE THE AWARENESS OF ART, PARTICULARLY AFRICAN AMERICAN ART OF THE SOUTH, AND TO ENCOURAGE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES OF THE ARTISTS THAT CREATE IT.

TO PROVIDE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR THE COMMUNITY OF GEE'S BEND, ALABAMA. THE ORGANIZATION HAS THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS RELATED TO THESE ACTIVITIES: - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA CENTER FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, REVITALIZE AND EXPAND THE GEE'S BEND QUILT TRAIL AS PART OF AN EFFORT TO INCREASE TOURISM AND GROWN HE CREATIVE ECONOMY. - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DEMOCRACY AT WORK INSTITUTE, HOST COMMUNITY GATHERINGS TO DISCUSS COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT AROUND THE CREATION AND SALES OF QUILTS. - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NONPROFIT NEST -FACILITATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BRAND AND RETAIL COLLABORATIONS WITH COMMUNITY QUILTERS. -SUPPORT THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FORMAL WORKING, SELLING, AND COMMUNITY SPACE IN GEE'S BEND. -SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECOMMERCE PLATFORM FOR THE SALE OF GEE'S BEND QUILTS. -DEVELOP HIGHQUALITY, COMMUNITYRUN AIRBNBS, AND TRADITIONAL OR NONTRADITIONAL LODGING TO SERVE VISITORS. -SUPPORT ON THE DEVELOPMENT
