THE MISSION OF THE NASHVILLE INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR EMPOWERMENT IS TO ENSURE REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS ACHIEVE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL NOW AND FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.

THE RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM RESETTLED 240 REFUGEES AND 81 AFGHAN EVACUEES IN 2022. SERVICES INCLUDED FINDING HOUSING FOR CLIENTS, SETTING UP HEALTH APPOINTMENTS, ENROLLING CHILDREN IN SCHOOL, ENROLLING IN ELIGIBLE BENEFITS PROGRAMS AND REFERRING TO ESL CLASSES AND EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT.
THE ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM SERVED OVER 800 CLIENTS IN 2022. SERVICES INCLUDED ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNER CLASSES (ELL), HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY PREPARATION CLASSES, WORK FORCE PREPAREDNESS AND CITIZENSHIP INSTRUCTION.
THE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM PROVIDED SUPPORT TO APPROXIMATELY 280 CLIENTS IN 2022. SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDED SKILLS INVENTORIES, ON-LINE AND PAPER JOB APPLICATION SUPPORT, RESUME DEVELOPMENT, WORKFORCE PREPAREDNESS AND ENGLISH CLASSES.
