THE ALMA JEAN FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO ADDRESS, EDUCATE, COORDINATE, AND PROVIDE RESOURCES TO PROMOTE THE IMPORTANCE OF ACADEMICS, LEADERSHIP, MENTORSHIP, AND ATHLETICS ON A LOCAL AND STATEWIDE LEVEL.

EVERY YEAR, THE ALMA JEAN FOUNDATION WILL AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS WHO APPLY AND MEET THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA FOR SELECTION. THERE WILL BE REQUIREMENTS OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND LEADERSHIP EFFORTS. SCHOLARSHIP AWARD AMOUNTS WILL BE BASED ON PARTICIPATION IN VARIOUS EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOLARS 4 YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL. ALSO, THE SELECTION PROCESS WILL BE BASED ON INTEREST IN THE SCHOLARSHIP, LEADERSHIP QUALITIES ,ACADEMIC SCORES, AND A WRITTEN ESSAY. A SCHOLARSHIP REVIEW TEAM WILL BE FORMULATED TO EVALUATE EACH STUDENT APPLICANT AND SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS WILL BE BASED ON FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THE YEAR.


THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, SPORTS CLINICS WILL BE PUT ON FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS FROM THE COMMUNITY WHO EXPRESS INTEREST IN PHYSICAL FITNESS AND SPORTS. THE AJF WILL FEATURE COLLEGE AND PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS TO GO THROUGH DRILLS FOR FITNESS, AGILITY, AND SPEED. ATTENDEES WILL BE SPLIT UP INTO GROUPS AND THEY WILL HAVE A CLASSROOM, FIELD TIME, AND ALSO WEIGHT ROOM TRAINING TIPS AND ADVICE.
