WE HOSTED COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND ENGAGEMENT EVENTS IN 17 CITIES FROM LOS ANGELES TO THE STATUE OF LIBERRTY, IN COLLABORATION WITH OVER 250 AGENCIES FROM COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, COALITIONS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATORS, SURVIVORS, AND FAMILIES OF THE MISSING AND MURDERED TO RAISE AWARENESS TO THE TRAFFICKING, MURDER, AND VIOLENCE WHICH IS IMPACTING WOMEN AND GIRLS OF COLOR DISPROPORTIONATELY THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. WE SHARED INFORMATION ABOUT SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, RESOURCES, AND PROVIDED MUCH NEEDED ITEMS, INCLUDING FOOD, CLOTHING, HYGIENE ITEMS, AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO INDIVIDUALS AT THE EVENTS. IN ADDITION, WE PROVIDED 7 LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOPS FOR SURVIVORS OF SEX TRAFFICKING IN PHOENIX, AZ, INCLUDING CONNECTING 18 WOMEN TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO ADDRESS TRAUMA THEY'VE EXPERIENCED.
