THE MONTPELIER FOUNDATION SUPPORTS PROJECTS THAT PROVIDE LONG-TERM PUBLIC BENEFITS IN MONTPELIER. FUNDS CAN BE USED FOR THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, OR ACQUISITION OF EDUCATIONAL, RECREATIONAL, TRANSPORTATION, PUBLIC SAFETY, UTILITY, CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION, AND CULTURAL IMPROVEMENTS HAVING A USEFUL LIFE OF AT LEAST 20 YEARS. WE PLACE A PRIORITY ON PROJECTS WHERE OUR FUNDS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN FURTHER COMPLETING OR FINISHING A PROJECT. IN FY'22 THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED GRANTS TOTALING 10,582 TO THE MONTPELIER TREE BOARD TO SUPPORT THEIR ASH TREE PROJECT AND GRANTS TOTALING 12,786 TO THE MONTPELIER PARKS DEPARTMENT FOR THE HUBBARD PARK EXPANSION PROJECT.
THE HUB - DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION SERVED AS A FISCAL AGENT FOR THE HUB. THE HUB IS A 501C7 ORGANIZATION THAT WAS CREATED TO RAISE FUNDS, PLAN, AND IMPLEMENT A RECREATIONAL AND SOCIAL CENTER IN MONTPELIER, VERMONT.
