CHILD USADVOCACY PRIMARILY FOCUSES ON SUBMITTING TESTIMONY TO STATE LEGISLATURES ACROSS THE COUNTRY, LOBBYING AND DRAFTING LEGISLATION FOR LAWMAKERS, EDUCATING THE PUBLIC THROUGH OP-EDS, SPEAKING AT PRESS CONFERENCES, AND APPEARING ON NEWS OUTLETS TO PUSH FOR REFORM ON LAWS FOCUSED ON STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE, ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF ATHLETES, FAMILY COURTS, CONVERSION THERAPY, MEDICAL NEGLECT, EDUCATIONAL NEGLECT, AND CHILD MARRIAGE. OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS FROM 2021 INCLUDE: 1) ADVOCACY HELPED PASS NEW STATUTE OF LIMITATION LAWS IN 5 STATES AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. MANY WERE WRITTEN AND/OR EDITED BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. CA EXEMPTED CSA CLAIMS AGAINST ALL GOVERNMENT ENTITIES FROM THE 60-DAY CLAIM PRESENTMENT REQUIREMENT, FL ELIMINATED THE CRIMINAL SOL FOR AN ADULT USING OR PROMOTING A CHILD IN A SEXUAL PERFORMANCE, LA AMENDED ITS 3 -YEAR WINDOW TO CLARIFY CLAIMS ARE REVIVED AGAINST INSTITUTIONAL DEFENDANTS, AND ALSO FOR PRE-1993 ABUSE, OK EXTENDED THE CRIMINAL SOL FOR SEX TRAFFICKING OF MINORS AND ADULTS FROM 3-YEARS AFTER THE OFFENSE TO 3- YEARS AFTER REPORTING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT, AND THE CITY OF NEW YORK EXTENDED THE CIVIL SOL TO AGE 27 FOR MINORS AND OPENS A 2-YEAR REVIVAL WINDOW IN NEW YORK CITY FOR GENDER-MOTIVATED VIOLENCE, WHICH INCLUDES SEXUAL ASSAULT OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ELIMINATED THE CIVIL SOL FOR OFFENSES AGAINST MINORS, INCLUDING CHILD SEX ABUSE, SEX TRAFFICKING, EXPLOITATION, AND CSAM. 2) SUBMITTED TESTIMONY IN 10 STATES; MA, MD, MI, LA, ND, GA, ME, CO, NV, AND RI. 3) WROTE 5 OP-EDS FOR VARIOUS LOCAL AND NATIONAL PUBLICATIONS; APPEARED ON 11 PODCASTS; AND SPOKE ON THREE RADIO SHOWS AND TV SHOWS. 4) SPOKE AT FIVE PANELS AND CONFERENCES AND FIVE LEGISLATIVE HEARINGS.
