OUR MISSION IS TO ACHIEVE EQUITY, POLITICAL RIGHTS, AND SOCIAL INCLUSION BY ADVANCING POLICIES AND PRACTICES THAT EXPAND HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS, ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION AND ACCELERATE WELLBEING, EDUCATION, AND ECONOMIC SECUIRTY OF BLACK PEOPLE AND ALL PERSONS OF COLOR.

FIELD OPERATIONS AND MEMBERSHIP SERVICES. THROUGH FIELD AND MEMBERSHIP,WE BUILD STRATEGIES AND ENGAGE WITH COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE NATION. THIS INCLUDES RECRUITMENT, RETENTION, AND GROWTH OF OUR GLOBAL MEMBERSHIP, IMPLEMENTING INITIATIVES AND MEMBER BENEFITS WHICH ENHANCE THE MEMBER EXPERIENCE.


CONVENTION-NAACP. THE NAACP HOSTS AN ANNUAL CONVENTION AS MANDATED BY OUR CONSTITUTION. WE CONVENE MEMBERS, BOARD AND OFFICERS TO SHARE INFORMATION AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND TO ESTABLISH POLICIES AND PROGRAMS FOR THE COMING YEAR. IMAGE AWARDS. THE NAACP WORKS TO ENSURE FAIR EMPLOYMENT AND POSITIVE IMAGES IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. THE NAACP IMAGE AWARDS SPANS MULTIPLE CATEGORIES, CELEBRATING OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS OF PEOPLE OF COLOR IN THE ARTS, TELEVISION, MUSIC, LITERATURE, AND FILM, AND ALSO HONORING INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS WHO PROMOTE SOCIAL JUSTICE THROUGH CREATIVE ENDEAVORS. RESEARCH AND POLICY. POLICY ADVOCACY AND RESEARCH ARE EMBEDDED IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE NAACPS PROGRAMMATIC WORK. WE ASSESS POLICIES IMPACTING THE EXPERIENCE OF BLACK PEOPLE AND ALL PERSONS OF COLOR AND EDUCATE AND INFORM KEY CONSTITUENCIES. SIMILARLY, OUR EMPHASIS ON RESEARCH PROMOTES ACTIONABLE DATA, RESEARCH, AND ENGAGEMENT TOOLS FOR COMMUNITIES. EDUCATION. THROUGH POLICY ADVOCACY, PARTNERSHIP, RESEARCH, AND MOBILIZATION, OUR EDUCATION INNOVATION WORK ADDRESSES ACCESSIBLE, HIGH- QUALITY EDUCATION, COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS; EQUITABLE SYSTEMS AND SUPPORTS; PATHWAYS FOR OPPORTUNITY YOUTH; AND TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT FOR THE FUTURE OF LEARNING.
