WANDER PROJECT ENGAGES WITH ATHLETES AND EVENTS TO SUPPORT COMMUNITIES BY INSPIRING FUNDRAISING AND SERVICE. WANDER PROJECT ACCOMPLISHES ITS MISSION BY SOLICITING FREE RACE OR REDUCED ENTRIES FOR EVENTS AND USING THOSE TO INSPIRE PEER-TO-PEER FUNDRAISING BY ATHLETES. ONCE MINIMUM FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS ARE ACHIEVED ATHLETES ARE REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT. TWO TIMES PER YEAR, WANDER PROJECT DONATES A PERCENTAGE OF THE FUNDS RAISED BACK TO THE COMMUNITIES THAT HOST THE EVENTS FOR THREE PRIMARY PROJECT AREAS (IDENTIFIED BY ATHLETES AS IMPORTANT): CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC LANDS; EDUCATION AROUND LOCAL ECOLOGY AND STEWARDSHIP; AND PROMOTION OF HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.
