COMMUNICATIONS - COPAL HAS DEVELOPED A SIGNIFICANT PLATFORM TO COMMUNICATE WITH AND ORGANIZE LATINO COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. KEY COMMUNICATION VEHICLES INCLUDE COPAL'S: (1) ONLINE RADIO STATION; (2) ROBUST VIDEO ANDANIMATION PRODUCTION; AND (3) EXTENSIVE DIGITAL ORGANIZING TOOLS VIA SOCIAL MEIDA, EMAIL AND TEXTING.


HEALTH & WELLNESS COPAL'S MINNEAPOLIS- AND MANKATO-BASED COVID-19 AND HOUSING NAVIGATORS ARE HELPING TO ENSURE LATINO COMMUNITIES ARE VACCINATED AND HAVE ACCESS TO EMERGENCY HOUSING SUPPORT AS WELL AS ACCESS TO OTHER BASIC NEEDS SUCH AS EMERGENCY FOOD, MENTAL HEALTH, CHILDCARE, AND LEGAL ASSISTANCE.


LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZING- COPAL IMPLEMENTS ONGOING LEADERSHIP TRAININGS TO EMPOWER COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH THE SKILLS AND STRATEGIES TO PURSUE POLICY AND SYSTEMS CHANGE. COPAL ALSO OFFERS CITIZENSHIP CLASSES GUIDED BY THE NOTION THAT WE CAN LEARN ABOUT THE STRUCTURES IN PLACE AND HOW THEY AFFECT US THROUGH OUR OWN LIVED EXPERIENCES.
