THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO RECONNECT DAKOTA PEOPLE TO THEIR HOMELAND THROUGH LAND RECOVERY. AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE LAND RECOVERY AND COMMUNITY FORMATION IS THE ABILITY TO RESUME TRADITIONAL PRACTICES FOR SUSTENANCE, FORMS OF GOVERNANCE, SPIRITUALITY, AND EDUCATION WHILE BEING ABLE TO SPEAK AND PRESERVE THE DAKOTA LANGUAGE.
