COMMUNICATIONS - COPAL HAS DEVELOPED SIGNIFICANT PLATFORMS TO COMMUNICATE WITH AND ORGANIZE LATINE COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGHOUT MN. KEY COMMUNICATION VEHICLES INCLUDE COPAL'S (1) 24/7 IN-HOUSE RADIO STATION RADIO JORNALERA AND ITS ACCOMPANYING PODCAST, (2) ROBUST VIDEO PRODUCTION AND GRAPHIC DESIGN, AND (3) EXTENSIVE DIGITAL ORGANIZING TOOLS VIA SOCIAL MEDIA, NEWSLETTERS, TEXTING, WEBSITES, ETC.
LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZING - COPAL USES A HIGHLY PARTICIPATORY COMMUNITY ORGANIZING MODEL TO INTEGRATE MEMBERS THROUGHOUT DECISION-MAKING. THROUGH OUR 5 MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEES, OUR MEMBERS BUILD STRATEGIC CAMPAIGNS AROUND CRITICAL ISSUES FOR THEM. WE WORK CLOSELY WITH ORGANIZATIONAL PARTNERS TO PASS KEY LEGISLATION AT THE LOCAL AND STATE LEVEL.
