WHEN FAMILIES ARE AFFECTED BY TRAUMA, RACISM, AND POVERTY, IT CAN INCREASE EARLY ADVERSITY DURING THE PRENATAL PERIOD AND EARLY CHILDHOOD, WHICH INTERFERES WITH HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT AND FAMILY WELLBEING. PERIGEE FUND HAS A DEEP FOCUS ON INFANT MENTAL HEALTH AND MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH. WE DIRECT RESOURCES TO PARTNERS WHO WORK TO STRENGTHEN POLICIES, PRACTICES, AND COMMUNIY-LED EFFORTS THAT SUPPORT FAMILIES DURING THE PRENATAL PERIOD THROUGH EARLY CHILDHOOD. THROUGH PHILANTHROPY, WE AIM TO DISRUPT THE INTERGENERATIONAL TRANSMISSION OF TRAUMA AND ADVERSITY.
