ORGANIZATION PROVIDES FIRE SAFETY DATA RESEARCH TO HELP PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES USE DATABASE TECHNOLOGY KNOWN AS THE NATIONAL FIRE OPERATIONS REPORT SYSTEM (NFORS)TO HELP THEM GATHER, ORGANIZE, AND TRANSLATE DATA TO IMPROVE HOW THEY EVALUATE RISKS, DEPLOY RESOURCES, AND RESPOND TO EMERGENCIES.
SUBCONTRACT VARIOUS TECHNICAL AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION (CDC)TO DEVELOP THE FRAMEWORK AND IMPLEMENT THE INITIAL STAGES OF THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT, COMMUNICATIONS AND DATA MANAGEMENT PLANS TO REGISTER FIREFIGHTERS FOR THE PURPOSES OF TRACKING THEIR CANCER INCIDENCE AS WELL AS THEIR WORK EXPOSURE RISKS AND OTHER RELATED IMPORTANT FACTORS.
WAS A SUBAWARDEE THROUGH COMMISSION ON FIRE ACCREDITATION INTERNATIONAL (CFAI) UNDER THEIR PRIME AGREEMENT WITH DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SERVICES (DHS) AND FEDERAL EMERGENCY MGT AGENCY (FEMA)GRANT PROGRAMS DIRECTORATE TO PROCURE FIRE DEPARTMENT DEPLOYMENT DATA AND INTEGRATE NFORS WITH LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENTS, GEOCODE AND UPLOAD FIRE DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DATA, TO BUILD/ENHANCE PROGRAM TOOLS.
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NFORS TECHNOLOGY DIRECTLY WITH VARIOUS AGENCIES INCLUDING DIRECT CONTRACTS WITH THE CDC AND FEMA (AWARDED A FIRE PREVENTION & SAFETY (FP&S) GRANT). NFORS TECHNOLOGY IS ALSO INTEGRATED FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY AND EMS MISSIONS AND PROJECTS.
