EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING CONFERENCES/SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS: AT THE CONFERENCES, ATTENDEES ARE EXPOSED TO A WIDE VARIETY OF VALUABLE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING HEARING FROM RESPECTED SPEAKERS WITHIN THE FIELD OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, AS WELL AS STUDYING ACTUAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SCENARIOS PRESENTED IN VARIOUS CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS. IN ADDITION, THESE CONFERENCES PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS, EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR, ACADEMIA AND FROM ALL LEVELS OF LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO COME TOGETHER TO SHARE EXPERIENTIAL AND EDUCATIONAL TRAINING AND TECHNIQUES. THESE CONFERENCES OCCUR ONCE NATIONALLY PER YEAR; SEVERAL REGIONAL EVENTS ALSO OCCUR THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
CERTIFIED EMERGENCY MANAGER (CEM) PROGRAM: THE CEM PROGRAM IS A CERTIFICATION PROGRAM PROVIDING THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO EMERGENCY MANAGERS IN THE ESSENTIAL TENETS OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. THE PROGRAM HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS WITH COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY. THIS CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING PROGRAM ACTIVITY IS CARRIED ON BY PAID ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT STAFF, LEADERSHIP AND VOLUNTEERS.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES: IAEM SERVES ITS MEMBERS BY PROVIDING INFORMATION, NETWORKING, AND PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.
