(1) THE PURPOSE OF PHARMACY OF GRACE, INC. IS TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF HOMELESSNESS, POVERTY, SCHOOL ABSENTEE DAYS, AND UNEMPLOYMENT CAUSED BY UNMANAGED MEDICAL CONDITIONS. MANY CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS (SUCH AS HYPERTENSION, DIABETES, CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, ASTHMA, COPD, BI-POLAR, AND MIGRAINES) OFTEN GO UNMANAGED, WHICH EVENTUALLY CAN CAUSE PEOPLE TO SEEK COSTLY MEDICAL CARE AND POSSIBLE EMERGENCY HOSPITALIZATION. (2) THE MISSION OF PHARMACY OF GRACE IS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION FOR UNINSURED AND UNDERINSURED INDIVIDUALS AND TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS, MANY TIMES AT NO COST, AVAILABLE TO VULNERABLE POPULATIONS IN KANSAS. (3) OUR VISION IS FOR ALL PEOPLE, REGARDLESS OF AGE, RACE, NATIONAL ORIGIN, ETHNICITY, GENDER, RELIGION, DISABILITY OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION, TO HAVE AFFORDABLE AND SUSTAINABLE ACCESS TO PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS AND PHARMACY SERVICES THAT OPTIMIZE HEALTH IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE MISSION OF PHARMACY OF GRACE (POG) IS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO PRESCRIPTION DRUGS FOR UNINSURED AND UNDERINSURED INDIVIDUALS AND TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AVAILABLE TO VULNERABLE POPULATIONS IN KANSAS. THIS IMPROVED ACCESS WILL HELP PHARMACY OF GRACE BREAK THE CYCLE OF HOMELESSNESS, POVERTY, SCHOOL ABSENTEE DAYS, AND UNEMPLOYMENT CAUSED BY UNMANAGED MEDICAL CONDITIONS. IN 2022, PHARMACY OF GRACE HELD ITS GRAND OPENING OF THE NEWLY RENOVATED SPACE LOCATED IN THE MERCY & TRUTH MEDICAL BUILDING. POG HIRED A PHARMACIST IN CHARGE, PHARMACY STAFF, AND BEGAN OPERATIONS ON JULY 18TH, 2022. BY THE END OF 2022, POG FULFILLED 932 PRESCRIPTIONS TO 217 PATIENTS THAT WERE 300% BELOW POVERTY LEVEL AS WELL AS 166 PRESCRIPTIONS TO 54 PATIENTS THAT WERE ABOVE 300% OF THE POVERTY LEVEL. PHARMACY OF GRACE SERVE ALL PEOPLE, REGARDLESS OF AGE, RACE, NATIONAL ORIGIN, ETHNICITY GENDER, RELIGION, DISABILITY OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION.
