TO CREATE AN EVOCATIVE BODY OF WORK THAT INVESTIGATES THE COMPLEX INTERRELATION OF PERSONAL IDENTITY AND COMMUNITY, PARTICULARLY AMONG THOSE LARGELY UNDER SERVED BY CONTEMPORARY DANCE.ABRAHAM IN MOTION, INC. CULTIVATES IMPASSIONED DIALOGUE NOT ONLY THROUGH THE SINGULAR ARTISTIC WORK THE COMPANY PRODUCES, BUT ALSO THROUGH INVENTIVE COMMUNITY PROGRAMS THAT INCLUDES WORKSHOPS, SCHOOL PERFORMANCES, COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS, AND ONGOING DIALOGUES. AS ORGANIZATIONS SHIFTED ATTENTION TO DIGITAL ACCESS IN LIGHT OF COVID-19, A.I.M PREMIERED TWO DANCE FILMS. IF WE WERE A LOVE SONG, INSPIRED BY THE SOUL-STIRRING MUSIC OF NINA SIMONE AND DIRECTED BY DEHANZA ROGERS, PREMIERED AS PART OF ALL ARTS "PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE" DANCE FILM FESTIVAL. MOTORROVER, COMMISSIONED BY THE BARYSHNIKOV ARTS CENTER, WAS CREATED IN RESPONSE TO MERCE CUNNINGHAMS LANDOVER AND WAS PRESENTED AS PART OF THEIR IN CONVERSATION WITH MERCE PRESENTATION. BOTH WORKS WERE CHOREOGRAPHED BY ARTISTIC DIRECTOR KYLE ABRAHAM. IN THE SUMMER OF 2021, A.I.M BEGAN TO TOUR AND PERFORM FOR LIVE AUDIENCES AGAIN. THE COMPANY HELD THE WORLD PREMIERES OF THREE NEW WORKSREQUIEM: FIRE IN THE AIR OF THE EARTH AT THE KAMPNAGEL FESTIVAL IN HAMBURG, GERMANY; OUR INDIGO: IF WE WERE A LOVE SONG AT THE AMERICAN DANCE FESTIVAL IN DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA; AND AN UNTITLED LOVE IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. THE COMPANY CONTINUED TO TOUR THESE WORKS AND OTHER MIXED REPERTORY PROGRAMS TO VENUES IN CLEVELAND, OH; PITTSBURGH, PA; AND STANFORD, CA, IN ADDITION TO TWO ENGAGEMENTS IN FRANCE. ADMINISTRATIVELY, THE COMPANY ACCOMPLISHED SEVERAL OBJECTIVES DESCRIBED IN A.I.MS TWO-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN.
